Facebook in the Classroom

This site describes how to use Facebook to create a character profile from a book that is read in class. This will help students use what they know (Facebook) to connect with the book/character is a more personal manner. I like it :)

  2. One of my schools for the fall, Roosevelt, had a project where students created facebook profiles for a favorite character -- they did them on paper; I saw them posted on the wall and was very impressed. The project really forces the students to do a serious character analysis in a way that's a lot of fun. I had the same reaction as Pam "What a great idea". Thanks for posting the link, Heather.

  3. My daughter had to do a project in her AP Psychology class and she was able to come up with the idea. She was supposed to do a project to teacher the class about a concept that she felt they needed more time with before the AP test. Since she spends a lot of time on Facebook and had a hard time remembering all of the people they had to study, I suggested she create facebook pages for the people she was having problems with. Wish we would have seen this link then, it would have made her project even better! Thanks for sharing.
